INFORMATION DESIGN AND THE AUDIENCE:: 2010
Information design has become a very inclusive discipline. Authoring means considering a wide amount of disciplines and variables in order to stay valid. Design has to look directly to the users and how they interact with products, systems and methods.
This illustrated article is a critique to the information design that doesn't take into account the end user. The diagram is a response to the Information Design Process Model proposed by David Sless. This new approach incorporates basic activities and other disciplines related to audience research, and the recommented level of involvement with the audience in every step of the information design process. It also incorporates a new step: Reconsideration.
